Meadow Montessori Halloween Book Character Parade

Halloween is coming! It is a fun and exciting day for Meadow Montessori students! Most children love dressing up. However, keep in mind that we have a wide age range of children at our school, and some costumes can be frightening for our little ones. For this holiday to be fun and non-threatening, and so all our children can enjoy dressing up without being too scary, we invite our students to come as their favorite book character for Meadow Montessori’s Character Parade, held on Wednesday, October 31 at 10:00 am. Check with your child’s teacher for appropriate books, or look to your favorite bedtime story. Get creative with your costume! Whether it’s Harry Potter or the Cat in the Hat, the possibilities are endless!

REMINDER: NO SUPERHEROES OR CARTOONS–alas, no Minions, no Elsa, no Spiderman. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t thousands of imaginative, inspiring, and creative characters to choose from. Be the Giant in BFG, the Lorax or the Onceler, or a Very Hungry Caterpillar! Elephant or Piggie! Or even Shel Silverstein’s Missing Piece. Whether you pick a classic fairy tale or a modern, contemporary story (Beezus or Ramona? Matilda? Harold and his purple crayon? Fern–or even Wilbur or Charlotte–from Charlotte’s Web?), and whether your child loves princesses, or knights, or animals, or (friendly!) dragons, there is a book character for them. Bring your favorite story to life at Meadow Montessori’s Book Character Parade!
