Administrators and staff are dedicated to the understanding that the children of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. With a state-of-the-art facility and teachers fully certified trained in the highest-quality Montessori education, Meadow Montessori School is happy to provide the highest quality early childhood environment. Located in Richmond Texas, Meadow Montessori is the sister school to Sugar Mill Montessori School, proudly serving the Sugar Land, Texas area.
Certified teachers and staff at Meadow Montessori embrace the research, observations, and recordings of renowned Italian doctor and educator Maria Montessori beginning with infant care to after school programs. Dr. Montessori’s findings have been tested with success for over 100 years all over the world.
Montessori Enrichment for Infants
In the Montessori infant program, babies are introduced to the world in a beautiful way with songs, stories, and activities to develop motor and language skills. Meadow Montessori’s certified teachers understand that instinct leads children to explore and learn about the world. That opportunity is provided in an environment that is safe and nurturing. Daily written communication is maintained between caregivers and parents.
Montessori Toddler Development
Montessori toddlers thrive in an environment designed to foster self-regulation. Shelves are filled with developmentally appropriate toys while children are given the freedom to follow their own intrinsic desire to learn. Toddlers interact socially and actually learn by observing other children. A specially designed program helps toddlers develop motor skills, language skills, and independence.
Montessori Early Childhood Classroom
In the Montessori early childhood classroom, the child, the environment, and the teacher comprise a learning triangle. Multi-age grouping for children ages 3 to 6 gives them the opportunity to discover sharing, respect, and self-reliance in a miniature society. Teachers take on more of the role as a “guide on the side” rather than a “sage on the stage.” As a result, children acquire skills at their own developmental rate. For example, the sounds of letters are mastered as a prerequisite to reading.
Enriching Afterschool and Summer Programs
Meadow Montessori provides quality afterschool and summer programs. Students can work on homework with the help of a teacher, or simply wind down from the school day with art, technology, or physical activity. A summer program gives school-aged children the opportunity to be “campers” with fun and educational activities.
Meadow Montessori School offers a year-round program. Since learning is individualized, students can enroll at any time.
